Cutting Pineapple
Easy way to cut pineapple:
Method:
Place pineapple securely on to a worktop. Using a sharp knife carefully remove the top and bottom of the pineapple, mindful not to remove to much flesh on either side.
Now that you have a flat base, place pineapple upright. Starting from the top, slice downward about 1/4-inch inward from the rind, following the shape of the pineapple, turning as you go, until all the peel is removed. If any spikes are still remaining, gently slices of with a sharp knife and discard.
Keeping the pineapple upright, find the core. Move your knife around the outer edge of the core and slice straight downwards. Do this four times, to expose four lobes of fresh pineapple. Discard the core.
Now you can either cut the pineapple into chunks, spears, or wedges.
