Banana Caramel Bread
Serves: 1 loaf | Prep: 10 min | Cook: 50 min
Ingredients:
Banana Caramel Bread:
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
1/3 cup light brown sugar
2 eggs
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup Caramel Sauce
1/4 cup cream cheese, room temperature
Directions:
Preheat oven 350F/180C. Line or grease a loaf tin. Place tin on top of a baking tray.
In a bowl mix flour, baking soda, powder, and salt together.
In a mixer with a paddle attachment cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs, banana, and vanilla. Mix. Lower speed, slow add flour mixture, mix just until combined. Add half of the batter to the prepared loaf tin.
In a bowl add caramel sauce and cream cheese. Whisk together with an electric mixer. Add the caramel mixture on top of the batter. Add the remaining batter, making sure to secure the edges with batter. Bake, 50-60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
