Breadstick Snakes

Serves: Makes six large, twelve minis | Prep: 10 min | Cook: 12 min

Ingredients:

Breadstick Snakes:
1 Pizza Dough
1-2 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp poppy seeds
1-2 black olive
1 strip, red bell pepper
6 or 12 wooden skewers, depending on size

Directions:
Preheat oven 350F/180C. Line two baking trays with baking paper.

Roll pizza dough into an 8-inch log, cut log into six or twelve equal pieces. Roll each piece into 12-inch-long rope for large snakes or 6-inches for small snakes. Taper one end for the tail and flatten the other end for the head.

Coat each skewer with oil, wrap each rope in a spiral around the oiled skewer. Place wrapped skewers onto the prepared trays. Brush with olive oil, and sprinkle with poppy seeds. Cut the black olive into small triangles and place on the flattened head for eyes. Cut the pepper into small triangles and securely place at the end to make a tongue. Bake, 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.
