Brioche French Toast

Serves: Six | Prep: 5 min | Cook: 25 min

Ingredients:

Brioche French Toast:
8-10 slices brioche bread
3 eggs
1/2 cup whole milk
1/2 cup heavy/double cream
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp sugar
butter for greasing

Directions:
In a bowl whisk eggs, milk, cream, vanilla, and sugar together.

Heat a skillet over medium heat and add enough butter (about 1 Tablespoon) to coat the pan.

Dip both sides of the bread into the egg mixture, one at a time. Place dipped bread into the hot skillet. Cook, 3-6 minutes per side, until golden brown. Continue with the following slices, until all are cooked, adding more butter to the skillet as needed. Keep warm by placing the brioche french toast on a baking tray in a 200F/94C oven.

Serve with warm maple syrup and fresh fruit.
