Whiskey Dogs & Whiskey Amaretto Sour

Ingredients:
Whiskey Dogs:
1 lb mini hot dogs
2 Tbsp olive oil
2 shallots, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 Tbsp whiskey
1/2 cup ketchup
2 Tbsp maple syrup
1 Tbsp light brown sugar
2 tsp dijon mustard
1 tsp red pepper flake
1 Tbsp sesame seeds
1-2 scallions, thinly sliced
Whiskey Amaretto Sour:
2 oz whiskey
1 oz amaretto
1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice

Directions:
Whiskey Dogs:
Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add shallots, cook, 2-3 minutes, until soft. Add garlic, cook for 30 seconds more. Add whiskey, cook, until slightly evaportated. Add ketchup, maple syrup, brown sugar, mustard, and red pepper flake. Stir. Add hotdogs, stir and simmer, 20 minutes. Garnish with sesame seeds and scallions.
Whiskey Amaretto Sour:
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice add whiskey, amaretto, and lemon juice. Vigorously shake, pour into a glass and garnish.
**If using cocktail sausages: Cook before covering with sauce.
Preheat oven 400F/200C. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Place sausage links onto the prepared tray. Bake 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through.
