Cleaning and Cutting Leeks:

Leeks:
Using a large sharp knife, slice off the root end of the leek. Slice the leek in half lengthwise, keeping the top intact.

Clean the leek under cold water, seperating the layers under the water to remove any sand and dirt. Gently shake the leek dry.

Cut the leeks into thin slices, to create half moons. Then use in many of my delicious recipes.
