Blue Claw Crab Boil
Serves: Makes two dozen | Prep: 5 min | Cook: 20 min
Ingredients:
Blue Claw Crab Boil:
2 dozen blue claw crabs
2 12oz cans lager beer
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 cherry pepper, chopped
1/2 lemon, sliced
herbs: thyme, basil, parsley, chopped
old bay seasoning
Directions:
In a large steamer pot, add beer to the bottom of the pot, making sure the steamer part does not touch the liquid underneath. Bring beer to a rapid boil.
Place celery, lemon, pepper and herbs into the steamer, lay crabs on top and sprinkle generously with old bay seasoning. Place the steamer pot over the boiling beer, tightly cover with a lid and steam the crabs until cooked through and bright orange, 15-20 minutes. Sprinkle crabs with more old bay seasoning, let cool and serve.
