Dark Chocolate Cookies
Serves: Makes Two Dozen | Prep: 15 min | Cook: 12 min
Ingredients:
Dark Chocolate Cookies:
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup dark chocolate, roughly chopped
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup dark chocolate morsels
sea salt
Directions:
Preheat oven 350F/180C. Line two baking trays with baking paper.
In a bowl sift cocoa powder, flour, baking soda and salt together.
In a saucepan over medium heat melt butter and 1/2 cup of chopped dark chocolate.
In another bowl whisk egg, sugars and vanilla together. Add the melted butter and chocolate mixture, once combined fold in the dry ingredients, until thick and shiny. Fold in the dark chocolate morsels. Using an ice cream scoop, drop the mixture onto the prepared trays, leaving at least one inch between cookies. Sprinkle with sea salt. Bake, 12-15 minutes. Let cool on the trays slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
