Homemade Apple Cider

Serves: 8 | Prep: 15 min | Cook: 2.5 hours

Ingredients:

Homemade Apple Cider:
10-12 large apples, quartered
1 large orange, quartered
4 cinnamon sticks
1 whole nutmeg
10 whole cloves
2 Tbsp brown sugar
5-6 cups water

Directions:
In a large stockpot add apples, orange, cinnamon, nutmeg cloves and brown sugar. Cover with water, making sure the apples are completely covered with water. Bring to the boil, reduce heat, simmer for 2.5 hours, uncovered.

Strain apples through a fine mesh strainer, may have to be done twice.

Can be enjoyed warm or cold. Will last in the refrigerator for 2 weeks and be frozen for 3 months.
