Oven Baked Mozzarella Sticks with Dipping Sauce

Ingredients:
Oven Baked Mozzarella Sticks:
1 lb block full fat mozzarella
2 Tbsp flour
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups panko breadcrumbs
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp red pepper flake
Dipping Sauce:
1/2 cup ketchup
2 Tbsp dark brown sugar
1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp molasses
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp prepared horseradish
1/2 tsp hot sauce
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
Directions:
Line a baking tray with baking paper.
Cut mozzarella block into 1/2-inch rectangles.
Add flour to a flat dish. In another flat dish add beaten eggs and in a third flat dish add panko bread crumbs. To the panko breadcrumbs add oregano, basil, parsley, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and red pepper flake. Mix to combine.
Roll each rectangle mozzarella piece into the flour, dip into the beaten eggs, and lastly, coat well in the panko mixture. Place onto the prepared tray. Do with remaining mozzarella, until all are coated. Place in the freezer for at least 2 hours, overnight works best.
Preheat oven 425F/220C. Spray all mozzarella sticks with cooking oil. Bake, 3-4 minutes, flip, bake 3-4 minutes more, until lightly browned and beginning to ooze cheese.
To make the dipping sauce whisk ketchup, sugar, worcestershire, molasses, vinegar, horseradish, hot sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper together in a bowl.
