Refried Black Beans

Ingredients:
Refried Black Beans:
2 cans black beans, drained and rinsed
1 onion, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 jalapeno pepper, minced
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp pepper
1 Tbsp lime juice
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
1/2 cup water
Directions:
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add onion and jalapeno, sauté, 3-5 minutes. Add garlic, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook, 30 seconds more. Add beans and water, cook, 5-6 minutes. Using a potato masher, mash beans to get the desired consistency. Cook for another two minutes, stirring occasionally. If the beans are too thick add a little more water. Take off the heat, stir in lime juice and cilantro.
