Cranberry Sauce

Serves: Six | Prep: 5 min | Cook: 25 min

Ingredients:

Cranberry Sauce:
12 oz fresh cranberries
2 tsp orange zest
1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup sugar
1-2 star anise (optional)

Directions:
In a saucepan combine all ingredients, bring to the boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens, 20-25 minutes.

If using star anise, remove before serving or storing. Can be served warm, at room temperature or chilled. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, and freezer for up to 3 months.
