Buttered Buttermilk Biscuits

Serves: Nine | Prep: 15 min | Cook: 20 min

Ingredients:

Buttered Buttermilk Biscuits:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
2 cups buttermilk
1/2 cup butter, melted

Directions:
Preheat oven 450F/230C.

In a bowl sift flour, baking powder, and salt together. Stir in sugar. Add buttermilk and stir, being careful not to over mix.

Pour the melted butter into an 8X8-inch baking dish. Pour and spread the dough mixture over the butter. Score the unbaked dough into nine equal squares. Bake for 20-30 minutes, until golden. Remove from oven and let rest, 5-10 minutes before cutting and serving.
