Buttermilk Fried Chicken Bites
Serves: Six | Prep: 8 hr, 15 min | Cook: 10 min
Ingredients:
Buttermilk Fried Chicken Bites:
1.5 lbs chicken breasts, skinless, boneless and cubed
2 cups buttermilk
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Directions:
In a bowl add cubed chicken and buttermilk. Stir to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and refigerate for 8 hours or up tp 48 hours.
Heat oil 375F/190C.
In a bowl mix flour, baking powder, salt, paprika, pepper, chilli powder, and cayenne pepper together.
Remove chicken from buttermilk add to the flour mixture and coat chicken. Shake off any excess flour. Fry chicken pieces in batches, 4-5 minutes, until golden brown. Drain on a paper towel lined plate.
Serve with drizzled honey and red pepper flake, Tennessee Whiskey Sauce, and Buffalo Sauce.
