Sausage Patties

Serves: Four | Prep: 15 min | Cook: 6 min

Ingredients:

Sausage Patties:
1 lb sausage meat, casing removed
1/4 cup red bell pepper, finely chopped
1 Tbsp jalapeno pepper, minced
1 garlic clove, minced
2 scallions, thinly sliced
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 Tbsp olive oil

Directions:
In a large bowl add sausage meat, peppers, garlic, scallions, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into eight patties.

Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the patties, cook, 5-7 minutes on each side, until cooked through.

TIPS:
Recipe can be doubled.

To freeze the patties, place uncooked patties on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Place in the freezer, until firm. Once firm transfer to a freezer bag. When ready to use, no need to defrost just add a few tablespoons of water to the skillet, cover with a lid, and place on low heat. Once the water evaporates and the patties defrost, cook as directed above.
